Evel Knievel was in my faith as a child.

When I was little I thought the lords prayer had Evel Knievel in it see below… Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. (Evel Knievel) For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.

I was just remembering this, it always makes me chuckle.  He was so famous that his name was strong in my memory that it overrided what the school was teaching me to say, I remembered this while I was having thoughts of my childhood and who we really are and that God is not what we are taught, as with some controlling factors in religion. The lords prayer had no power of good feeling to me, it was dry, never enjoying it with the conformity of morning prayer at school.   Evel Knievel had invoked my imagination, weather you think he was mad or powerful he made many children’s heart’s & adults following his dare devil stunts.   So thank you Evel knievel, I love you and me, we are our own god.
